HOMELESSNESS

It is no secret that Pensacola’s homeless population has grown over the past couple of years. Many in our community are working everyday to assist our unsheltered as they attempt to fight their way out of homelessness and to build safe, healthy lives. As a city government, we should be here to give a hand up, and not a hand out. 

Everyone should have the opportunity to live in a safe, healthy, home. Everyone should have the opportunity to work and provide for themselves, and to obtain the education and skills necessary to carve out a path for their future success. Providing more affordable housing options for those who are struggling to overcome homelessness is critical to the enhancing the quality of life for everyone in Pensacola.
